Jimbo On The Road

Hello there! My name is Chris Petrikoglou, aka Jimbo!

A lake in a meadow with mountains in the backgroundIt was a 12-day journey (1,300 kilometers and 10,000 meters of elevation), which, honestly, without overselling it, changed my life! It was psychotherapy for me, and it made me love myself more than ever! I was already living the life I wanted but after this trip… I really wanna find a way to make people SEE some things the way I do. And what do I mean by that? I’ll tell you right now!

Blue sky, clouds, a lake and a meadowLife is so beautiful and so damn simple! But either society or the people and situations around us (family, girlfriend, boyfriend, wife, husband, friends, work, school, or whatever!!) keep us trapped in the routine. Even if, deep down in our hearts, we know what we want… we just don’t have the courage to do it… to act… to take the risk! And as a result… we just live a “meh” life, or a “safe” life, or anything but the life we would love to have (whatever that is)!

Even if we just tried and failed, that would be worth ten times more than what we are already living! (Trust me!)

Anyway, I could talk about this for ages, but another time, in another place!

An older and younger man posing for a pictureDuring my journey, I met incredible people (simple, humble, and REAL!) and also saw beautiful places! I cried, I laughed, I got scared—in general, I FELT! I healed myself, and I found myself!

Warmshowers helped me a lot in this journey to accomplish all that! It helped me find these places and these people… and for that, I am grateful!

I have everything from this trip written (day by day) in my blog, so anyone interested can visit it and take a look! (And please, if you have any suggestions to make it better, you are more than welcome to share your thoughts or let me know your opinion!) Check it out HERE.
